Healthy Homemade Chicken Soup Recipe

This Fat Loss Revolution style recipe is easy-to-make, plus it’s filling, nutritious and delicious.

Place the following ingredients in a slow cooker, large kettle or a crock pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook on low for 6-8 hours or longer if using a crock pot.

Chicken Soup Ingredients

  • 1 whole organic chicken or turkey, 6-8lb.
  • 5-6 cups filtered water
  • 32 ounces organic low-sodium veggie broth or chicken broth
  • 10-12 carrots, chopped
  • 4-5 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary and thyme
  • 1-2 bay leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • One tsp. Celtic sea salt

Optional Add-in

  • 5-6 cups steamed green beans (add to pot of soup before serving)

Before serving, remove the chicken from the pot and allow it to cool. Remove the skin, meat and bones. Return the meat to the pot.

Top with fresh parsley and fresh cilantro. Serve and enjoy!
